Good article, Matthew. The first digital camera I borrowed from my employer back in 2002 was some Canon Ixus - really small, and really capable.

We ended up buying an Olympus for ourselves tho, and - with the exception of a Panasonic TZ7 - stayed with Olympus until today.

Anyway, I'm sure you considered some of the others in this genre, like the Olympus XZ-1 or Panny LX-5. Care to elaborate why you decided against those? I've been
